17 hours of battles with html and flash

Recently I got so fed up with my blog, especially the comment system. I got problems posting and replying comments using intense debate. Just like everyone complained about, my number of comments does not show up on my blog home page.I asked around, and most advise I got is to reinstall the system. So I uninstall it, reinstall it, still the same. Not giving up, I uninstall it, make some changes, reinstall and everything went from bad to worse. Finally I give up, I remove the whole system from my blog but its only make everything worse. I lost all my comments with intense debate. After many trial, this is the conclusion I got.

If I remove intense debate, I lost all my comments with intense debate. But after I reinstall intense debate, all my previous comments with blogger vanished. 

Great. So which one should I choose? Can I have both? I email-ed the support team at intense debate hopefully I can keep all my comments and settle all my problems.

Throwing everything aside. All I wanted to do is to change my blog layout to a more personalised one. Too bad that me being noob at html, photoshop and whatever you can name to create a blog layout. Until I thought I found a solution with wix. Sound so cool. I browse through many template and finally make up my mind to create my own template. Thus, I come up with this.

Great, wasn't it? They allow posting it to so many network, include blogger. Wow, its start to light up my day.

Yeah, until this happen.

Post failed. I tried and tried, could it be log in error, blog url, password, I checked everything yet its still doesn't work. I got so fed up. But I tired 'post to sidebar' and miraculously its work. Taadah, but you cannot expect me to use that as my side bar right? I moved my side bar post to the upper part, tried to use this, and delete my blog name but its just doesn't fit in nicely. Craziness start filling me. As I don't want to give up my hardwork but I dunno how to fix it.

Yeah, you will know that finally I manage to fix it, as you can see my newly-edited-layout.
You might call me dumb or sneaky. You just cannot believe how I make it.

I want that header badly, at least its something I did myself and it can really represent me. Therefore, I come up with an idea to print screen it. Re-save it as JPEG then upload it to my blogger header. Taadah.. its done.

But wait, how about all the balloons?
You will notice that my balloon and my header is very close to each other but its not one. I redo another page just for the balloons. Adjust the size until it will fit perfectly under my header. And this balloons work is not easy, its messy. You might need to move the html here and there a few times before getting it. And html is the biggest bloggers enemy.

But I really love how each balloon can create a page. Look simple and nice too right? Yeah, if you are following my blog, sorry that I spammed your blogger dashboard. I was trying to create a new page. But the first few times end up fail, thats why I spammed your dashboard.  Yeah, in case you dunno, this feature is now available at blogger.

You see the Edit Pages tab, just click on it, then chose New Page. And post like normal, then you will can chose your tab pages. And if you want to create a flash list like me. Move all your links to your flash then simply remove your 'blogger pages' at your page element.

I dunno how on earth I can sumarize what I did in 17 hours into 1 post. If you are interested feel free to ask me. I am more than willing to help you. I don't want to see another human being wasting 17 hours to do this again. Or perhaps if you got other easier solution. Please share it with me. 

Until now I still got no idea what happened to my comment system. But I will try to response asap. Should I continue with intense debate? Give it another try? Or I am fated to use blogger comment system until blogger improve its comment system to what wordpress like. I mean you can reply directly and navigate easier. Lets pray so that it will happen sooner. It might be possible, blogger made a few big good changes recently and you can make your own template without html mess.

p/p/s : that intense debate supportgroup still haven't reply to my mail. But at least now comments is up with blogger. And all previous comments with intense debate lost. Great! Lets have a new start right? Together with the new header.
